Noctis Aurora calls microneedling “a luxurious ritual designed to awaken your skin’s natural radiance, refine its texture, and reveal a smoother, more luminous complexion.” Under the luxury is a simple mechanism, and knowing it makes the days afterward easier to plan.
What it does
A pen of very fine needles makes tiny channels in the outer layers of the skin. The skin treats them as small injuries and repairs them. A 2024 review in Cureus describes how that repair response involves collagen and elastin, the proteins that give skin its firmness and spring.
The American Academy of Dermatology lists acne scars, wrinkles and uneven skin tone among the things dermatologists use it for, and notes that results build over time rather than appearing overnight.
The days afterward
Expect redness. The AAD says the skin can look red for a few days to about a week, a bit like a sunburn. That is why many people book it at home: there is no drive back with a pink face, and you can stay in for the evening. Ask your provider about sun protection and what to put on your skin in the days that follow.
Booking it with Noctis Aurora
The menu offers a free consultation, and a consultation is required before the initial treatment. Like every consultation at the spa it is virtual. Once it is done, you request the service, choose the date and time, and enter your address in the booking summary’s note section.
Give at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to move the appointment, and if anything worries you afterward, contact the spa within 72 hours. Completed services are final and non-refundable, and results vary from person to person, as the policies say. The treatment page is microneedling; for a peel instead, see the VI Peel.
